Following a meteorite shower in a rural town, a composer comes looking for inspiration for the soundtrack of a sci-fi film. He stays with an astronomer who researches black holes. Her eight-year-old son does not speak.
The astronomer wants to escape her past. The composer has a future he doesn’t want to face. In the impossible “now” an uncertain relationship develops between these two damaged people; they orbit each other with forces that could lead to destruction or renewal.
